Greensboro is North Carolina's third-biggest city and dates back to the 18th century, when Greensboro was settled by northern farmers. Standing in the Piedmont area, Greensboro is part of the Piedmont Golden Triangle, together with nearby High Point and Winston Salem.

Downtown Greensboro has recently been renovated and revitalized, with many attractive green spaces and popular performing arts venues.
